Every day, I use it with my laptop in my truck. I use Streets and Trips and ALK Co-Pilot. It's fast and accurate. As soon as I Open my mapping I have a signal and I drive all over the US. Have yat to loose signal or see any kind of failure. It started out just fine and worked like our old yellow Delorme had for connecting to our laptop in the car and running our Delorme Topo 9 program. It updated quickly and had no problem with quickly finding our place when first turned on.The problem started when we traveled any distance or a long time use. It would cause our program to freeze up until we unplugged it from the computer. Our program would then start working just fine and we could then replug in the GPS and start it up once more. We tried rebooting the computer and then trying it again also, to no avail, as a few more miles along and it would then freeze up our computer once again. Later, it caused our laptop to go blue screen (better known as the blue screen of death). That was when we decided to return it. We sadly unplugged it from our computer and our laptop rebooted just fine and is running again... Read more |
