Very fast lockup, it always has a position before the nav software loads. Very sensitive, while others are having to stick their GPS out side this one is receiving in the cabin. The first thing that went smoothly was the installation of the drivers onto my Windows 7 laptop. Once I used their diagnostic software to verify that it was working correctly, I tried it with my moving map software. It works wonderfully. I had the opportunity to try it out in a sheer moment of "where the heck am I?" on a weekend trip. From the time I plugged the unit into the computer, to the map showing me the "You Are Here" location was less than a minute.My one upset about the puck is the length of the USB cable. Granted, it's 6 foot long, but I would have liked a bit more. Certainly works great! |
